With some families we are into third
generation as customers. It is extremely
satisfying to have such long lasting relationships. Often we
are asked "How long have you been in business ?"
"One
year " then after a pause I continue with a smile ..."34 times".
Since our Grand Opening in 1977 in our present location, Backstage continues to
evolve and adapt as a true Fashion Specialty Store
establishing specialty niches along the way. Each year
has been different, unique, and precious to us. We
approach each year with fresh eyes, open ears, and the
passion as if it was our first. We want everyone to know we
are always looking for something new, something different,
something better.
We have
seen fashion looks come and go. We have seen many formidable
competitors come and go. But things that never goes
out of style are good old fashion personal service , sincere
customer appreciation and employee product knowledge.
Backstage may be one of the few remaining places where you
can speak with the owner everyday. It's important that I'm
here everyday to hear what you have to say, to watch how you
respond to what we offer, and to listen to your suggestions.
Most of
us "love to buy stuff" but we "hate to be sold". We
're here to help you buy. We have built our business one
customer at a time . Our friends and customers have been our
best advertisers. "Word of mouth" has kept our advertising
cost down and has allowed to spend more money on
services like free alterations and free gift wrapping which
add value to your purchases. The purpose of every business
is to satisfy the customer.
We
are always changing. Sometimes because we have to.... but
most of the time because we want to.
